Medis can adapt easily to a multitude of needs, considering what the patients, nursing staff and visitors need. This flexible illumination enhances the well-being while providing for a better living comfort in an unfamiliar environment.

Different lighting settings are possible: for ex
amination rounds, visiting times, reading, night or daytime illumination. Besides optimal illumination, Medis offers an integration system with power inlets, communication outlets and medical gases.

It doesn't look like a hospital luminaire ...

... and it's all because of its clean design! Besides, it boasts of glare control, maximum efficiency and high uniformity, that results in outstanding comfort. Not just for patients, but also for the medical staff.

Lighting scheme n1: When the doctor visits ...

During the day general lighting is complemented with a natural light, which makes a perfect scenario for examination. During the doctor's visit, the light of 1,000 lux is required.

Medis provides a uniform, glare-free lighting environment that is required for nursing tasks and simple examinations. It offers maximum illuminance of 1,000 lux in the examination mode.

Lighting scheme n2: Afternoon activities ...

Soft, pleasant and glare-free light, that could be customized is a first thing to do.

Patients should also be given a flexible light with a dimmable controller to a place where needed, which offers the possibility to adapt to any individual situation.

besides that, taking care of hygiene is an absolute 'must', and Medis has no problem with that as it is made from materials that reduce dust exposure and are easy to clean.

And even when the night kicks in, patients could still do their own thing without disturbing others. One could read, second one sleep, the third one browses on the phone ... a discrete light that gives your patients a freedom of setting their own routine.

Lighting scheme n4: It's night time ...

Sleeping like a baby is possible also when you're in a hospital, and it's not only the mattress that matters. Lighting can help to improve patient’s healing process. Besides that, it also serves as an orientation or as a help when calling nurses. A light that you see only when you need it.

Modular design for a multitude of needs

Medis is designed as s modular concept and includes two separate profiles which can be used in a different combination. Basic (wider) profile integrates illumination modules and power/communication outlets while a medical (smaller) profile is used for the supply of medical gasses.

Medical gasses

Each bed can be supplied with up to three different medical gasses. The gasses are carried in copper tubing with a diameter of 8-12 mm from the central connection point to the respective supply point. The copper pipes used and their design is compliant with the required standards.

Power supply

Medis can deliver electrical supply units wherever required. It may be used for life-depending equipment connected to an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) or for individual usage.

Communication

Discretely integrated communication panels offer individual usage of a telephone/internet line as well as a connection to medical devises and instruments. An emergency call can be activated with a practical remote handset.

Light control

Required illumination tasks can be individually activated with push-button at any moment. Light intensity can be adjusted for each selectable illumination operation: day function, examination or reading light.

Indirect illumination

The uplight linear model is possible in stable white (3000K, 4000K) or tunable white (2700K-6500K). The module is covering the lengths from 560-1400 mm. Nightlight module is covering an area of 93 mm, in order to help nursing staff perform simple tasks without disturbing the patients by night.
